Flipboard hits Version 2.0 on Android

Today, Flipboard let version 2.0 make it's way into the Play Store. Weeks after our iOS "friends" got their hands on it. The update has a rather large changelog:

What's in this version:


-Collect and save content into your own magazines, tap the "+" button to begin
-Your magazines are public, but can be made private
-Integrated Android share: add content from the Gallery & other apps to your magazines
-Bookmarklet to add items to your magazines from a browser
-Get notifications when people like, comment or subscribe to your magazines
-Share magazines via email or social networks
-Personalized recommendations for more to read
-Search is now front & center, with improved results

OpenTable Gets Updated

Today, OpenTable also got updated and brings a nicely sized changelog along with it. Here's what the changelog on the Play Store states:


What's in this version:

– Maps have received a complete overhaul and now leverage Google Maps v2. Want to search in a different area? Just drag the map and tap!
– We've added the ability to add your reservations to your calendar!
– You can now modify your date, time and party size in place
– Restaurant menus and reviews now load faster than before.
– Overall restaurant rating has been added to the profile page.
– Navigation is improved and all activities have been moved into the top bar.

Google Earth Gets an Update

You know Google I/O is right around the corner when Google apps start to get updates. The latest is Google Earth, here's the full changelog from the Play Store:

What's in this version:

New in 7.1.1
* Google Maps Street View: With Street View, you can explore the world at street level.
* Improved directions/search: Updated directions let you can visualize transit, walk, bike and drive directions in 3D while update search result list will let you browse search results quickly.
* Improved interface: Easily browse and enable different layers through use of new left hand panel


Falcon Pro hits V1.9

Today, one of our favorite Twitter apps got a nice update. Falcon Pro hit version 1.9 and brings a large changelog. Here's what the Play Store says is new:

What's in this version:


– New : sexy font (still Roboto based)
– New : position holding in Lists
– New : load up to 1000 tweets / refresh
– New : option to set the action bar on the bottom. Good for large screens.
– New : load older tweets
– New : inline Droplr previews
– New : option to set a different refresh rate for mentions/interactions
– New : options to control cache
