Today, Facebook announced Facebook Home. Which you can find all the details here, as our Editor Tom Dawson covered it. In short, Facebook Home is a suite of apps and a home screen replacement for Android. Facebook is saying it's not just a UI for launching apps but it also replaces the lockscreen with Cover Feed. So it's basically turning your phone into a Facebook phone. Who else agrees "eww....Facebook everywhere"?
I basically left Facebook last Summer for Google+. You've probably noticed that in all of my articles. But I know a lot of people don't like Facebook that much anymore. Personally, I think Facebook needs to get their Android app working right before they worry about making a "launcher" with all their services. Nevertheless I'm sure it'll be popular, but most of our staff here at Android Headlines won't use it because we are Google+ fans and users.
So our question this week, is will you use Facebook Home when it becomes available next Friday, April 12th? What are your thoughts about Facebook Home? Smart or dumb move by Facebook?
Then there's the HTC First smartphone that will be launching at AT&T for $99. Did HTC and Facebook forget about the HTC ChaCha they launched a few years ago and how bad it did? How well do you think the HTC First will sell? Especially since it's an AT&T exclusive.
