Facebook Home Early Release APK Now Available; Works on Devices up to 1280x768 Resolution Displays

Last week, Facebook introduced Facebook Home. Along with HTC First, which is the first phone to come with Facebook Home pre-installed. Both will be launching this Friday. Our friends over at Modaco, have gotten their hands on a few apk's which offer all of us an early taste of Facebook Home. These have been stripped from a pre-release HTC First ROM, and Modaco is saying they are "rather buggy" which I'd expect since it's pre-release software. Also not everything is working yet. That includes Chat Heads. It'll also work on any device with a max resolution of 1280x768 (which means the Nexus 4 can handle it) and you also must be able to remove the Facebook for Android app. As the newer apk's won't install otherwise.

Modaco does have a workaround for those devices that have Facebook as bloatware, but you will need to be rooted. You can check out the source link down below for that workaround. If you're interested in getting an early taste at Facebook Home, you check out the download links down below.

So for those of you that "love" Facebook and can't wait to try out Facebook Home, you'll want to give this a try. Maybe it'll hold you over until Friday, if your phone is one of the five that will actually work with Facebook Home. Like we said Chat Heads doesn't work yet, there are probably a few other things that aren't working yet or are very buggy so you'll want to be cautious with using these leaked APKs. But they won't brick your device, so you'll be fine.

How many of you are going to go ahead and try out Facebook Home today? Let us know in the comments down below, also let us know what you think of Facebook Home.
