Featured Review & Giveaway: Andru – The Android Charger with Style!

Thanks to our friends over at PowerByGen.com for sending out a review unit of the Andru Charger, and for giving us 2 more to give away to our awesome readers! First we'll do the review then go ahead and give you the rules for the giveaway and how you can enter.

The Andru Charger is a great looking charger. There's nothing spectacularly special about it when it comes to charging your phone or tablet. It uses the same output and input as your charger that came with your phone. But who wouldn't want an Android guy sitting on their desk? If you don't want to keep Andru plugged in all the time, there is a stand that comes with him and you can just sit him on your desk or table. Andru has a female USB port on his head which is where you plug in the micro-USB cable that comes with Andru. Andru's eyes also light up when you are charging him. On standby they'll be white and charging will be blue.

On the technical side, the specs include inputs 120~240V AC, outputs 5V/1A DC, the datacable is 1.2m long, and Andru is about 2.5-inches tall.

So should you buy Andru? Well that depends. If you're someone that loves novelties like Android figurines, then yeah you'll definitely want this. But if you just need a charger to charge your phone or tablet, then putting $25 for this charger might be a bit much. If you like products that look different from what everyone else has, then you're going to want to check out Andru. Which comes in 3 different colors, Green, black and white. The black one is "Andru Dark" and the white one is "Andru Chill", of course the green one is the original. You can purchase them from PowerByGen's website for $25 each.

Now for the good part. PowerByGen was kind enough to give us a couple of units to giveaway. We are going to limit this one to US only, since the chargers probably won't work in other parts of the world without adapters. The contest will end March 31st. Here are the ways you can enter:
