Now this can seem a bit hard to do at first, but it's actually pretty easy. First you are going to need a Gmail account. So if you haven't already, you can sign up for one here. Now you're going to need your iPhone or iPad, a PC or Mac, and your USB Cable.

1. Connect your iPhone/iPad to your PC using the USB cable

2. Open iTunes on your computer and select your iPhone or iPad and click the iTunes info Tab

3. Check "Sync Contacts with" then select Google Contacts from the drop-down menu

4. Tap configure and enter your Google email address and password.

Now all of your contacts will be synced with your brand new Google account. Now to get your calendar sync, you'll need a bit of help from Google. Luckily Google has provided instructions on how to do that.
