Android How To: Backup & Restore your Phone or Tablet

One thing that many people worry about is backing up your device. Which is actually quite easy. We already talked about how to backup your app data with Carbon. Today we are going to show you how to backup your device to Google servers. This will backup the apps you have downloaded (not their data), wifi passwords, and some other data for your device(s). We are also going to show you how to do a factory reset on your device.

How to Backup your Phone/Tablet

1. Go into settings

2. Tap on Backup & Restore

3. Check "Back up my Data"

4. Next select the correct backup account

5. Check "Automatic Restore"

6. That's it.

How to Reset your device

1. Go into settings

2. Tap on Backup & Restore

4. Select "Factory Data Reset"

5. Select "Reset Phone"

6. Tap on "Erase Everything"

7. Now your phone will reboot and reinstall your version of Android and reboot after erasing all your data. Then it will be like it's brand new.
