Internal Documents from New Zealand Retailer Suggest April Launch for Galaxy S IV

If one thing’s been speculated more than anything in the last couple of years, it’s the Galaxy S flagship from Samsung. I’m sure a lot of you remember the rumors and leaks that led up to last year’s Galaxy S III launch. It was pretty comical, with a number of “leaks” coming out of the woodwork that were clearly fake but, we all love to speculate and or those that have been locked into a two-year contract, this year could be a big leap for their next upgrade. The rumors and leaks surrounding the Galaxy S IV are going to be in Android news for a few months yet.

When it comes to the Galaxy S IV we’ve already heard a lot about the device, concerning the rumored 4.99″ 1080 Super AMOLED display and the quad-core Exynos 5450 that is to be at the heart of the upcoming flagship. We all know that Samsung is going to pull out all the stops when it comes to their flagship product but, what we really want to know is when the device is going to be available for us to get our hands on, and with rumors that Samsung might not be holding a press event at MWC at all, we wonder when they’re going to be announcing this new smartphone.

All signs indicate  March 22nd reveal at yet another “Mobile Unpacked” event in the U.S. and with some more evidence we can speculate that an April launch is very much on the cards. Galaxy-S-IV-raffle-jpg

PhoneArena have been passed what look like documents from an internal raffle at a New Zealand based mobile retailer that suggest an April launch. The documents detail that all winners of the incentive program will be given a Galaxy S IV. Of course, in the documents it’s written as “Galaxy S4” so there is a chance that this could be a typo but, there’s been evidence from U.K. retailers that the S IV could launch between the 15th and 22nd o April.

As always, take this a hearty pinch of salt. We all know that Samsung are going to deliver something good for 2013, we don’t know when it’s going to launch but, after last year’s success story that was the Galaxy S III it’s all but certain it’ll be available on all major carriers and enjoy a global release.
