UK Microprocessor Firm ups their offer for MIPS


Today the UK microprocessor firm, Imagination Technologies, upped their bid to purchase the US chip Designer MIPS to $100M in cash. They want to purchase MIPS for "certain" patents. Sounds a bit like the Google-Motorola Deal from last year.

HTC Ordered all AUO AMOLED Panels for Q1 2013



Well this is interesting, all of AUO's 4.3-inch AMOLED display panels for the Q1 2013 have been bought up by HTC. Now this is likely for another device since the M7 is rumored to have a 4.7-inch display, and the Droid DNA/Butterfly is a 5-inch display.

Theres aren't new cities for Google Fiber, but new neighborhoods in Kansas City. Which include Piper Schools, Delaware Ridge, Painted Hills, Open Door, and Arrowhead.

Today Sprint's CEO Dan Hesse, told the media that his best and most important decision was helping to block the AT&T and T-Mobile merger. Especially since Sprint is really struggling with their network and losing customers left and right.


US Cellular sending Jelly Bean to the Galaxy S3 on Friday


How appropriate, US Cellular is sending out it's Jelly Bean OTA on Friday, December 21st. It's fitting because it'll probably be the last major Android update the device gets without rooting. But who knows, US Cellular customers should start seeing it arrive this Friday via OTA.
