Droid Daily 12/12/12: ZTE Grand S, Samsung Galaxy S3, Gyft, and More

WeatherBug Updated

Today both the free and paid versions of the Weatherbug app got updated with a brand spanking new interface. And it looks pretty nice, if I do say so myself. I don't use Weatherbug but for those of you that do, you may want to head over to Google Play and grab it.

Vocre comes to Android

A new app has hit the Play Store, big news right? This one is a new voice and text translator and it's available now for $2.99. A bit pricey so be sure you use it in that 15-minute window you have to return it.

Some new information regarding ZTE's high-end Grand S that is supposed to be unveiled at CES has unveiled some new information on the CES' press events schedule. We'll meet the Grand S on January 8th.

Galaxy S3 heading to Fido

Those of you on Fido in Canada, you're about to get the beast. The Galaxy S3 is coming to Fido. But we have no idea when or the pricing. Hopefully it'll launch with Jelly Bean since all the other Galaxy S3's in Canada now have Android 4.1 instead of Ice Cream Sandwich.

Today HTC and the UEFA inked a 3-year deal for HTC to have the official smartphone and tablet for the Union of European Football Association. Pretty good news for HTC.

Eric Schmidt confirms that Google Fiber isn't just an experiment

Today Eric Schmidt spoke about Google Fiber. He said that it's not just one of their experiments and that they are trying to decide where to expand next. I say they expand to the Detroit area. I'd love to have some Google Fiber here.
