There’s quite a few different tablets out there and never seems to be a shortage of any being released. Toshiba has their line of Excite tablets, all the way from a 7 inch up to a much larger 13 inch. Now, they’ve added a new 10.1 inch tablet to their line called the AT300SE or Excite 10.
The Excite 10 is scheduled to make its way to the UK come the end of Q4 2012, but is also expected to head over the US. While the specs aren’t groundbreaking by any chance, they are enough to get the job done and will be priced at £299.99.
When it comes to design, it’s very sleek and minimal, although is slightly thicker than its predecessor, clocking at 10.5 mm thick and weighing 625 grams. Here’s the specs:
- 10.1 inch 1280 x 800 display
- 1.3GHZ NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core processor
- 1GB RAM
- 16GB internal storage with microSD card slot
- 3 megapixel rear-facing camera
- 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera
- WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth 3.0
- Android 4.1 Jelly Bean
Specs aren’t groundbreaking by any means, but not laughable either. One does wonder how well the Excite 10 will compete considering the Nexus 10 was just released and bringing a much more high definition display, as well as better hardware all the way around.
