Samsung Ready to Bring 1080p AMOLED into the World; No LCDs Here

With 1080p displays on mobile devices becoming a very real possibility there's understandably a rush between all the display manufacturers to get everything in order and with Samsung also shipping smartphones they will want to take advantage of such high-resolutions in order to bring gorgeous displays to market. There was word that Samsung were going to have to swap to LCD displays because their AMOLED production plants apparently weren't up to scratch. Now, though it looks like Samsung is ready to produce Super AMOLED displays with the Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080.

There have been reports that Samsung Electronics were approached by Japan Display who were offering 5-inch 1080p LCDs but after some deliberation Samsung Electronics have decided that it'll be a lot better to stick with Samsung Display's Super AMOLED production. Sticking with AMOLED is possibly the better choice for Samsung as their smartphones have become known for punchy colors and vibrancy. A lot of users are going to be happy with the decision and will surely be sticking with Samsung for this.

Let's be honest when it comes to displays, the thought of a Full HD AMOLED panel is something that will rival the Super LCDs of the world and bring a new level of vibrancy and clarity of Samsung devices. What do you think? Would you like an HD AMOLED display with 1920 x 1080?
