I know a lot of you out there are really tired and cranky and have been up for quite some time, patiently waiting to put your name down for one of the most anticipated device launches of the year. I know, I know, it's not fair! Europe and Australia have both had their turn at the Nexus line-up and yet the US of A is still waiting their turn. Well, there's some good news for you all – sort of. Google have confirmed that the launch of sales for the Nexus line-up will indeed be at 9 AM PST, something we suspected when the devices went live in the UK Play Store at 8 AM GMT. It makes sense for Google to launch at a time that suits their head office in Mountain View after all, I'm sure that the big wigs will want to keep on eye the sales.
It's pretty simple to get a hold of this confirmation, all you have to do is give the Nexus support line a call, on 1-855-83-NEXUS and they'll let you know when the sales will be going live. So, while that means that we now have a definite time for the launch, meaning we can be fully prepared, it also means that we now have to make sure that we are fully prepared…again.
It's certainly a bummer that Google have waited this long to confirm such a time and that they didn't do it through Google+ or something else with a little more oomph but what this means is that if you're on PST then it's a quick dash to a web browser at 9 AM, 11 AM if you're on Central and lunch time, 12 PM if you're on Eastern. Let's all make sure that we're nice and quick to get our orders in and fingers crossed they don't have the same problems that they seemed to have with the UK launch!
