Leak: Acer Iconia Tab A220 with Quad-Core Tegra 3 and Android 4.1

Looks like Acer is working on yet another Android tablet. It appears to be a successor to the A210 model. Spotted at GLBenchmark's site, as the A220. So far there are no photos of the actual tablet so we can't see exactly how it looks. But we do know some of the spec's, but remember this is just a leak so treat it as such.

  • 1.3GHz quad-core Tegra 3
  • 10.1-inch display with a 1280x800 resolution
  • Android 4.1.2 - Jelly Bean

So not a complete spec list, but judging from Acer's older tablets there probably will be a SD card slot so you can expand the storage. It's also nice to see Acer putting the latest version of Android (until next week when 4.2 drops), instead of Ice Cream Sandwich or something older.

We aren't sure of a release date, but I would expect an appearance at CES in January. But who knows, Acer could surprise us and launch it in time for the holiday season. Would you be interested in the Acer Iconia Tab A220?
