Square Enix Finally Bringing Chrono Trigger to Android Worldwide

Let's take a trip down memory lane to when the Super Nintendo ruled the world and you were super excited to get your hands on the latest Mario game and Street Fighter II was what you and your friends fell out over - not which Halo game was the best. Well, back when the SNES was the console to beat there was a whole lot of RPG games that came out of Japan that introduced  us to the genre, often what comes to mind is the Final Fantasy series and you'd be right but there was a much better lost gem from that period and that was Chrono Trigger.

For many years, the game remained in the past and despite all the remakes that Square Enix were pumping out they didn't see Chrono Trigger worthy of the treatment. However, it did receive a remake to the Nintendo DS and later on a remake was released on iOS and Android however, the Android version was only available in Japan. Until now! That's right folks, the game that I'm sure some of you have played and many of you have never heard of is available for you to go and get your hands on in the Play Store!

The game is a brilliant throwback to the RPGs of old and features a fantastic story line, a brilliant soundtrack and art provided by Akira Toriyama. The very same man that bought us the Dragon Ball series as well art for the Dragon Quest series. If you've never played the game, then now is a good time to jump in and get in on the action. It may be pricey but, I'm certain that it's worth it. If you do give it a try, don't hesitate to reach out as I've been a massive fan of the game for years now.

For years now I've had a heavy interest in technology, growing up with 8-bit computers and gaming consoles has fed into an addiction to everything that beeps. Android saved me from the boredom of iOS years ago and I love watching the platform grow. As an avid reader and writer nothing pleases me more than to write about the exciting world of Android, Google and mobile technology as a whole.
