One of the very first 4G LTE devices on Verizon, and one of the very few HTC devices on Verizon not to be a Droid Incredible, the HTC Thunderbolt was a mess from launch. Being one of the first LTE devices, it also had probably the worst battery life of any device in recent memory. Even worse than the Galaxy Nexus on LTE, which is pretty horrible. In fact, last year the HTC Thunderbolt made it to our top 10 list of the worst Android phones in 2011. It didn't just make it, it was number one.
Now over a year after Android 4.0 – Ice Cream Sandwich was announced, and 2 new versions have been announced, the Thunderbolt might be getting ready for the biggest update of it's life. It looks like ICS is almost ready for the Thunderbolt. And we thought Bionic owners were stuck on Gingerbread for a while. Now we aren't 100% sure this is Ice Cream Sandwich that's coming to the Thunderbolt, but there is a big update on it's way. What else could it be?
How many Thunderbolt owners are left out there? Don't think there are too many, but if you're out there, feel free to get excited.
