Had enough with all these giants coming up with a new device every 6-8 months? Are you fed up with all those flagship devices with jaw dropping specs costing you a fortune? Well, fortunately that's not the case with citizens of Mainland China. They've got it covered with highly affordable high-end devices. Recently the Xiaomi Mi-2 phone has gone up for pre-order in China with a price tag of just 1999 Yuan ($320) – that's one helluva a cheap phone.
"There are lots of budget-friendly phones by Samsung or HTC or any other Big manufacturer" – that's something you would say but wait there's more. The Mi-2 is not your average-phone with mediocre specs for the price tag but on the contrary it is a fully loaded high-end device that sits at the top with flagships like Galaxy S3, HTC One X, etc
The Mi-2 sports a Snapdragon S4 Pro Quad-Core processor, the same chip Nexus 4 uses. It also offers two models, 16GB and 32GB. The 16GB costs 1,999 Yuan ($320) while the 32GB version costs 2,299 Yuan ($368). The phone also comes with replaceable back covers with different color options to choose from. The best thing about the Mi-2 is that it comes pre-loaded with Xiaomi's own most popular Custom ROM, MiUi. All these features make it the perfect device for a true Android fanatic.
The Mi-2 is now officially available online at Xiaomi's official website and available for pre-order. It will start shipping from October 30th. What are your thoughts? Would you buy a Mi-2 if it were available in US or your Country of residence?
