Even though the original Droid Razr Maxx is quite an old device now, although it was announced early this year, it's still a great device. In fact I would still buy it, if I didn't have the money to wait for the Droid Razr Maxx HD that should be coming soon. So why would I buy it? That huge beast of a battery inside the Droid Razr Maxx. The Droid Razr Maxx was the first phone to have a huge 3300mAh battery which will last you a very long time. Here are some of the other key specs for the Droid Razr Maxx available on Verizon:
- Dual-core 1GHz processor
- 4.3" Super AMOLED display
- 8MP rear shooter
- 16GB onboard storage + 16B SD card
- Android 4.0.4
- 3300 mAh battery
The Droid Razr Maxx already has Ice Cream Sandwich and according to Motorola's upgrade time table, there is no indication for a Jelly Bean update. But I'm fairly certain the Droid Razr Maxx will get some Jelly Bean. It's important to remember that this device does have an encrypted bootloader – thanks Verizon – so if you're looking to hack this device to death it's going to be a little difficult.
