If you own the AT&T Sony Xperia Ion, you’re probably tired of us talking about why it’s taking so long for us to get Jelly Bean when you don’t even have Ice Cream Sandwich. Well we’ve got some good news for you. Your update to Android 4.0 is finally here, but it’s not available via OTA from AT&T. Looks like you’ll have to use Sony’s Companion app which is available for download from Sony’s website.

In addition to all the new features and UI changes in Ice Cream Sandwich, you’ll also be getting some changes to improve Microsoft Exchange/Active Sync, Mobile Hotspot and some faster wifi speeds. But the best part of all is, your off Gingerbread! That brings Ice Cream Sandwich one step closer to taking on Gingerbread in the install based, where Gingerbread is on almost half of the Android devices out there.

Anyone out there have the AT&T Xperia Ion? How’s the update going for you? Let us know how well or not so well the update is going for you in the comments.
