Featured: OG RAZR Get RAZR M 'Goodies'

Left to Right: Droid RAZR, RAZR Maxx, & RAZR M

Each and every person buys a phone for one main reason and that is the features it holds. Now for some, it may be features along with hardware specifications, but the features are what really sell a person on a phone.

A lot of times Android community developers will take it one step further and help those who may not have the financial means to upgrade like those of us who are waiting 6 a.m. door front for the latest and greatest device $700 in pocket. I can say at one point I was one of those people as I was on the Motorola Droid X for what seemed like ages! Everyone around me was getting the latest and greatest while I pretty much just had to sit and wait.

The latest is that Motorola Droid RAZR owners will now be able to experience what it will be like to have a Motorola Droid RAZR M. Wow, that's a significant good "goodie" package! BondGarcia, who is a XDA member, has made this possible!  He gave these older device owners:

  • "Popular" Circle Clock Widget
  • RAZR M launcher
  • Stock Messaging App
  • Stock Gallery App
  • Stock Camera App

Now again, these are applications from the RAZR M,which make it some pretty cool new incorporations for Motorola RAZR fans and their devices. I for one, seem to always enjoy the opportunity to test out new interfaces from new phones. Gives the user a really good opportunity to test out the actual applications and interfaces before actually buying the device.

These are installable APK's which will require ROOT ACCESS along with a "root-enabled" file manager app. The apps are put into "/system/app" and that's it you are done.  Launcher will require some "permission" changes, but that is the only added step.  Like any good rooter, flasher, developer, or themer, you want to ALWAYS, ALWAYS back up your applications and data before doing a change like this. If you are not knowledgeable in rooting or flashing I wouldn't even recommend you try this! For those of you who can, download away and enjoy some new features! See what the RARZ M is all about and if it will be worth the money to buy.

I am a gamer, but not hardcore, and my son is close behind. We have two gaming consoles with more to come with one at least always being in use. I graduated with an associate degree as a Computer Support Specialist. It was a tough road, but I made it, and am ever so thankful. I love technology and playing with the vast variety of "toys" I can get my hands on, but my biggest love is Android and learning its ways. Anything new I wanna learn about it and will tell anyone I know I support Google 100%, at which point I have acquired the nickname "The Google Girl."
