Huawei has delivered some great smartphones over the time and the best of the list would be without a doubt the Ascend P1. It was launched way back at MWC 2012 and made it's way to UK and Canada. However, Huawei realized that to keep up with the competition they will have to give something extra like faster mobile data. So, they recently announced the Huawei Ascend P1 LTE version that will be available in many markets around the globe starting with UK first.
As we previously reported that UK's popular network EE, formerly known as Everything Everywhere announced the availability of LTE services in most of the cities, it also announced the availability of some LTE devices including the Ascend P1 LTE. The Ascend P1 LTE will be an exclusive for EE only. There are no words on the date of availability or price of the device at this point but we're sure it will soon be revealed by either of the company.
In the meantime let me refresh your memory by reminding you of the drooling specs that the Ascend P1 LTE packs within. It has the same specs as the non-LTE version except for the LTE part.
- 4.3" qHD 960x540p resolutions display
- 7.69mm thick chassis, very slim
- 1.5Ghz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor
- 8mp rear shooter and 1.3mp front facing camera
- 1GB RAM and 4GB of Internal storage (support microSD card slot)
- Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (Near Stock UI)
We're certain that the Ascend P1 LTE will also hit the American market sooner rather than later. We'll get back to you with more information as soon as we get it. Till then don't forget to let us know what are your thoughts about this Mid-to-High end phone.
