Way back in February, Acer showed of the CloudMobile at MWC 12. It sports a beautiful design and serious hardware under the hood. Well, after some delays the Acer CloudMobile is finally available in the UK market. This device was expected to launch earlier this month on 5th September although that wasn't met, still better late than never. Acer CloudMobile is now available and in stock at online UK retailer Expansys for just £290. You can order right now to get one for yourself before it goes out of stock, though that's highly unlikely.
The CloudMobile is priced very reasonably and comes packed with some serious horse power. It sports a 4.3" 720p HD display, 1GB of RAM, 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 processor, 8GB of Internal memory and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich with near Stock experience. The phone also has a microSD card slot that supports up to 32GB of extra storage.
CloudMobile is a great offering in this price range and comes with ICe Cream Sandwich that should soon be upgraded to Jelly Bean, though Acer has not confirmed that officially. The UI is pretty similar to Stock Android 4.0 with the same on-screen buttons as well, however there are certain differences like Acer's own lockscreen and some other minor changes but still it provides the same experience as stock android. So, a dual-core, HD display phone for £290 is not bad at all.
What are your thoughts about the CloudMobile?
