If you've not heard of, or installed Google currents before then now might be a perfect for you, in the wake of the busy Google I/O happenings, Currents hasn't been left behind in fact, its gotten a nice update. The update brings with it some small UI changes along with performance increases throughout, making the app snappier than ever.Currents is one of the best looking and simplest news apps available for Android and being part of the Google Apps clan it makes syncing it between your devices extremely easy. The app tries to lay out web content in a more magazine like fashion without going too crazy and leaving the content still on text. It's a fabulous way to read up on the latest news from a variety of sources, of which more and more are being add constantly.

For years now I've had a heavy interest in technology, growing up with 8-bit computers and gaming consoles has fed into an addiction to everything that beeps. Android saved me from the boredom of iOS years ago and I love watching the platform grow. As an avid reader and writer nothing pleases me more than to write about the exciting world of Android, Google and mobile technology as a whole.
