Ice Cream Sandwich aka Android 4.0, is a major improvement and being that there's a lot of devices still running Gingerbread, the previous version, newer devices are getting upgraded as time goes on. With Verizon and an update schedule that leaked which rarely happens (sarcasm), looks like three smartphones will be getting the upgrade to ICS.
The phones mentioned are the HTC Rezound, the Droid Razr, and the Droid Razr Maxx which packs a whopping 3300mAh of battery power. Verizon customers who have the HTC Rezound can expect the upgrade sooner than customers rocking the other two phones with May 9th being the day.
Razr and Razr Maxx customers are looking at May 21st being the day with it being pushed out OTA.
Droid Life has more details on other devices as well as screenshots to accompany the info:
According to the rest of these screenshots, updates for the Bionic, Thunderbolt, Revolution, Galaxy Tab 10.1, and Xperia Play are all in testing. We aren't sure what these updates are, but they have not been listed separately as Ice Cream Sandwich related. The Incredible 2 may have an update that has been approved already, but for whatever reason, the OTA push has been delayed.Advertisement
It's also interesting to add that the Motorola XOOM tablet has went through testing with ICS, but still no date for the upgrade has been announced yet.
