The word around the Android block today is that the HTC EVO 3D will be heading to Virgin Mobile later this year even though the device will be a year old come June. To match the upcoming HTC One V name, the HTC EVO 3D shall be renamed upon launching on Virgin to the HTC EVO V 4G.
In a world where manufacturers and carriers are starting to pump out quad-core devices, this pre-paid carrier feels the phones 3D feature set still make it unique enough to be a compelling product. The EVO 3D is one of only two auto-stereoscopic (read glasses-free) 3D smartphones available in the US. The 3D features don't stop there, it is also capable of taking 3D photos and videos via a pair of 5MP cameras.
