Featured: Samsung Galaxy Note coming to Sprint and Verizon as the Journal?

The Galaxy Note is one of those devices that has always intrigued me, but it's limitation to the AT&T network left me wondering what the device would actually be like in the hand. However, if the story from examiner.com holds water, I might get my hands on one in the first half of this year.

According to Industry Analyst Paul Mueller, whom I have never heard of before this, the Galaxy Note is definitely coming to both Sprint and Verizon:

"It will possibly be called the Galaxy Journal. But it is certainly coming to both Sprint and Verizon during the first half of the year," Mueller says.

There seems to be two camps when it comes to the Galaxy Note tablone, those people that have one and mostly love it, and those that love to make fun of it. With it's 5.3" screen this is a gigantic phone, but I've come to really love my 7" tablet and could see myself making room for this as my primary phone.

Though I'd prefer the name Note to Journal, part of me is really hoping that this speculation turns out to be real. Having never heard of Paul Mueller before now, I attempted to do a Google search for any information about his past analysis. I couldn't easily find anything about him.

I'm a 40 something early adopter of all things technology. I was first in line to buy both my original Verizon Droid and my Apple iPad 1. I don't hate your phone or tablet choice, but I've probably got an opinion about it. Aside from my family, the only things that I love more than a new gadget are fly fishing and going to the ballpark. Ocassionaly I find a way to blog about both. Though I'm only one more Foxconn story away from being fired, I've been writing for Android Headlines since March 2011.
