Will the Viewsonic 7x be the first 7" Honeycomb Tablet

Pocket-Lint got a tip that Viewsonic will introduce the ViewPad 7x at Computex Taipei on May 31st. Viewsonic already sells a Froyo based version of this tablet known as the ViewPad 7, and according to this source the 7x will be an addition to the 7" line, not a replacement.

Beyond a dual core Nvidia Tegra 2 chip and that funky looking rear cover nothing else is known about the hardware. We'll just have to wait until the end of the month to see how much of an upgrade it is.

It's rumored to go on sale in the middle of June, which should put it ahead of Honeycomb on the Flyer. Pricing details aren't available.

I'm a 40 something early adopter of all things technology. I was first in line to buy both my original Verizon Droid and my Apple iPad 1. I don't hate your phone or tablet choice, but I've probably got an opinion about it. Aside from my family, the only things that I love more than a new gadget are fly fishing and going to the ballpark. Ocassionaly I find a way to blog about both. Though I'm only one more Foxconn story away from being fired, I've been writing for Android Headlines since March 2011.
