Thursday marks the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S Fascinate 4G on Canadian carrier TELUS. As the name suggests, it's the successor to last year's popular Fascinate 3G. The new phone leverages the speed of TELUS' HSPA+ network, offering downloads of up to 21Mbps. Marketed as "Canada's fastest smartphone", users' lives should no longer be spent "waiting and idling", according to their frankly ludicrous advert (video below).
An internal marketing document received by mobilesyrup.com reveals the pricing structure for the Fascinate 4G at launch. The lightning fast smartphone will set you back a whopping $529.99 without a contract. TELUS customers opting for a 1 or 2 year contract will pay $479.99 or $429.99. However, anyone willing to take the leap and sign up for a 3 year contract can take advantage of a promotional price of just $99.99 for a limited time.
