Does Samsung Know Something HTC Doesn't?
It would appear that way as everyone has blamed the Thunderbolt's poor battery life on the fact that it used Verizon's new LTE network. Well so does the Droid Charge and it gets excellent battery life, one user reported over 2 days on a single charge with either 4G LTE/WiFi always enabled.
While many are reporting that they can barely make it through a workday without plugging in on the HTC Thunderbolt. This is a good sign and points to more of an issue with HTC and not with the LTE Radio itself being too much of a power draw.
The Droid Charge battery life comes with only a 1600mAh battery while the Thunderbolt requires a large 2750mAh extended battery to even come close to those numbers. Samsung has a history of great battery life and they seem to have figured out LTE on the first try hopefully all future Verizon LTE devices feature such great results.
