Samsung Replenish: Android Goes Greener than its Robot
Sprint is holding a press event today, April 15, talking about the wireless industry implementing eco-friendly practices. It is at this event that Sprint plans to unveil the lead phone in this green movement, Samsung's Replenish. The above image was released with the following description today.
"The Replenishâ„¢ uses recycled and recyclable plastics plus environmentally friendly packaging. You can feel good about Mother Earth, and still text your mom with the full QWERTY keyboard. The large 2.8" QVGA (Quarter View Graphics Array) touchscreen offers every color found in nature."
Looks like we won't see the raspberry pink model until June 2011 but other color models should be expected in stores soon. The phone will hopefully be economically priced and arrive in time for Earth Day. Even better news is that the eco-friendly phone will most likely consume little power, offering longer battery life.
Who's excited for the green phone? Which carrier do you think will make the most of this new movement?
