DROID X2 Out In The Wild

Droid X2 In Action

The Droid X2 has not yet been confirmed, but it has definitely been showing up everywhere as of late. This time a tipster at TechnoBuffalo sent in a video along with pictures of the new Verizon phone. As has been shown the Droid X2 is almost identical to the original Droid X with the only real physical change being the removal of the hardware camera button along the side.

Droid X2 Vs Droid X

Everything is the same from the profile to the lip where the camera is located. It does however feature top of the line internals with completely new hardware featuring a dual core processor none the less. One thing to point out is it does lack support for Verizon's LTE network, in a move that ends up delivering what is being reported as stellar battery life. LTE is a huge power draw and it might just be a good move on Motorola's part.

Motorola Droid X2 Tech Specs

  • 1.2 GHz Dual-core NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor

  • 8 megapixel rear camera with dual LED flash
  • 720p HD video capture
  • Micro USB

  • Accelerometer, Gyroscope, Compass

What do you guys think of the new Droid x2? Is it a worthy successor and what changes would you have made in the new version?
