MOTO gets more Social; Invests in Moblyng Social Gaming

It seems that Motorola wants to go beyond its BLUR UI in regards to being more social. Recently they have invested in popular social gaming company Moblyng, which is well known for their HTML 5 and mobile gaming. With the company having over 9 million downloads, this is sure to be a good investment for Motorola. It seems that social everything is whats booming right now, and it'd be a no-brainer for Motorola to invest in a company that is already got their hat into the ring. What Moblyng games do you play? Motorola Mobility Invests in Moblyng, Developer and Publisher of Social Games for Mobile Devices

LIBERTYVILLE, Ill. and REDWOOD CITY, Calif. - March 3, 2011 - Motorola Mobility Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: MMI), through its strategic investment arm, Motorola Mobility Ventures, today announced an equity investment in Moblyng, a leading developer and publisher of cross-platform, HTML5-based games for mobile devices and social networks. Moblyng games have been published for Android, Facebook, iOS and WebOS platforms and have been downloaded more than 9 million times.

Motorola Mobility Ventures joins Mohr Davidow Ventures and Deep Fork Capital in this round of financing.
