HTC Thunderbolt still waiting to strike

We first heard about this device at CES, yet continue to await its arrival nearly half way through March. Verizon's chief technology officer, Tony Melone announced Monday that 4G Long Term Evolution phones are on track to be released during the first half of this year (as originally promised). According to Droid Life, HTC will be announcing the launch dates soon which helps confirm what Melone and Verizon promised about LTE phone release dates. While all of this seems vague, one can hope to see the Thunderbolt, Verizon's first 4G LTE phone, some time in April.

Verizon and HTC are both waiting on their technology to be up to par with customer's expectations before releasing either the LTE network or the phone. For now we'll have to wait and see how long it takes for the two to reach an agreement and ensure the 4G network's speed and coverage.

Has anyone given up on buying the Thunderbolt? How long have you been looking forward to this phone?
