A tweet from a fan asking about the paid version of Angry Birds with no ads for Android devices went out. A representative from Rovio Mobile (@RovioMobile) responded to the message by saying that there are adding some finishing touches to the game and it will be available for Android devices within a month. Rovio seems to be busy working on releasing the ad-free version of the game with Angry Birds Rio, which is related to the animated feature film due to release on 22nd March, 2011.
Rio is created by the same film-makers who were behind Ice Age. In Rio, the main focus is on a Macaw who is the last of his kind and lives in a pet store in Minnesota. There are scientists who find out that another of his kind is in South America and the hero (Macaw) is shipped to the south to lead them to the other one. A special Rio Golden Egg can be unlocked by using the method described in Rio’s Super Bowl trailer commercial. Please check the video shown below, at the end.
