There is no question that Android is definitely starting to get more attention from developers, and now with the announcement of Motorola Xoom, the first Android OS 3.0 (Honeycomb) tablet, it has become worthy of Glu Mobile. In a press release last Wednesday, Glu Mobile stated that they will be developing games for Android 3.0.
They already have 25 games in the Market available now, but having seen the potential and the "rapid growth of Android devices," they only see a benefit in developing for the platform. The first Honeycomb game being released is Guns Bros which takes advantage of the full OpenGL ES 2.0 3D graphics, making it "the most powerful gaming experience on any mobile platform." Let's hope that Glu Mobile backs their words up with excellent game play.
