Amazon Android App Store Allows App Buying without Device

Are you still waiting for your Android Smartphone or Android Tablet to arrive? Are you so excited that you want to have a bunch of apps ready to install right away? Well, Amazon has just introduced a solution for you. Amazon Appstore for Android has been in the works for some time now, and will allow you to purchase apps before you even have your device.

Oh wow, doesn't this just increase your excitement of getting your device? You'll be all stocked up with apps and ready to go the very minute it's in your hands.

This seems similar to Amazon Kindle business model, which separates content from the actual hardware you have it installed on. The content is associated with your Amazon account.

If you are an Android App Developer, please head to the Amazon Appstore Developer Portal to create an account, and submit your app. Once your app is approved by Amazon, you can start selling it, and generating revenue.

Amazon has yet to leak a launch date, so check back often so we can pass it on the minute we hear. Seems like the Android Market is in for some heavy competition!
