Acer Liquid mt Released on Rogers for only $49.99

Speaking of Acer phones, here's another one that's going to be a lot more available, as in tomorrow (the 15th).

Canadian carrier Rogers will be offering the Acer Liquid mt for $50 on a three-year contract, and for $400 with no obligation.  With different metallic shades all around (a "mocha copper color with chrome trim and a stainless steel battery cover"), this is going to be the fastest downloading device in the Rogers stable.  The specs say 14.4 Mbps, so that says HSPDA!

The Liquid mt also features a  3.6 inch capacitive touchscreen display with a resolution of 480 x 800.  The processor is a Qualcomm 7230 clocking in at 800MHz.  In addition it has a 5 megapixel camera with auto-focus, LED flash and it can record 720p HD video. Of course, there's the usual 3.5mm headset jack, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and microSD card, plus DLNA.  In addition Rogers has added on its own music, ringtone, and game store, plus a mobile backup app.  Acer also provides SocialJogger which incorporates twitter and Facebook feeds.

Here's Acer's full press release for the Liquid mt's availability on Rogers.

The Liquid mt also comes with apps from Rogers. Customers can use Shop to customize their ring with a ringtone or ringback as all well as download games, graphics, videos and music with UrMusic. My Account lets customers manage their own wireless account right from their phone for viewing their account balance and history, making payments and browsing subscriptions. Mobile Backup automatically performs regular, secure back-ups of contact information and personally created content like pictures and videos without requiring a cable hookup.

Other convenient apps include Google maps, smart web radio for streaming music playlists and music recognition on FM radio. There are many fun games available on the Android market, including 3D options. All apps can be rearranged on the screen and uninstalling them is as easy as dragging and dropping.
