While there is no solid news here, there seem to be some new rumors flying around the web revolving around the fabled HTC Sidekick 2 aka the "Sidekick 4G". Not too much has been heard since December, when T-Mo asked via tweet what their users would want to see happen with the Sidekick brand. The device seems to be picking up speed, according to sources of site TmoNews. The latest rumor being that the "Sidekick 4G" was talked about at T-Mobile's annual employee meeting.
No details about the device specs or design were mentioned by the source, but it is most obviously expected to feature a twist out QWERTY keyboard, support for T-Mobile's HSPA+ network, and is planned to launch with Android 2.3 OS(Gingerbread). A Spring release date has also been mentioned, with the possibility of an official announcement coming in March at CTIA in Orlando. We'll see how the rumors add up, with hopefully some leaked photos and more specs to come soon.
