Samsung Readies Google TV Player And Blu-Ray Player

Google TV certainly hasn't been the hit that Google was hoping for, but it looks like the platform is still pressing forward and attracting the attention of companies beyond Logitech and Sony.

Samsung showed off two Google TV devices at CES that are worth looking at -- a Blu-Ray player and a stand alone "companion" box. Samsung's reason for showing these devices is to demonstrate their willingness to adopt and support different platforms, and so far there are no release dates or price points set.

However, Samsung also demonstrated a Galaxy S phone that was running an app to remote control Google TV, which suggests that they will be ready to go with Google TV if it starts to heat up.
