It's common knowledge that HTC is getting into the tablet business (by the looks of CES this year, who isn't?). Their impending release is the HTC Scribe, a 7-inch tablet that's rumored to run Android Honeycomb. What we don't know are the specs of the device or when it's going to make its debut.

However, the folks over at DigiTimes think they have the latter pinned down. According to component manufacturers based in Taiwan, HTC will debut the device at the upcoming Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona this February 14-17.

Remember that this is just a guess at this point, but it's probably a good one in light of the fact that tablets are coming out at a furious pace, and HTC would be remiss to wait too long before making an official announcement.

As always, we'll keep you posted on new developments.
