The newly released Nexus S has been flying out of the doors of Best Buy. But now apparently there is glitch that might slow those sales down. A rumor has surfaced that Best Buy’s activation system for the Nexus is having some issues, meaning no Nexus S activation on T-Mobile. It isn’t known how widespread the problem could be, but it has been going on for the past week or so.
Tech news site BGR received this story from a Best Buy customer who tried to pick up a Nexus S with a new line or service upgrade. The customer was unable to have their device activated by Best Buy employees, who later told that customer that they would need to pay full price. That could almost be considered an insult, knowing that isn’t how a phone upgrade/new contract agreement works. Discount is the key word, and with it missing, the Nexus S is just another overpriced smartphone. I’m sure Best Buy mobile employees are doing the best they can to sort out this T-Mo situation.
