LG Ally Android 2.2 Froyo Update Coming SOON

LG Ally owners can now rest easy, thanks to an internal document from Verizon, the Ally will finally be seeing an Android 2.2 Froyo update soon. The leaked document(seen below) comes courtesy of AndroidCentral, and announces the official release of Android 2.2 OS(Froyo) specifically for the LG Ally. With the Froyo update comes new features and bug fixes, along with new widgets, deeper Exchange integration, enhanced photo galleries, faster browser with V8 JavaScript Engine and an overall speed boost with the JIT compiler.

There are no details on the update schedule, but LG VS740ZVD should start pushing to devices within the coming weeks. With 2.2 Froyo creeping its way onto the Ally, it's probably safe to say the device won't be seeing Gingerbread anytime soon. At least there's always that two year phone upgrade, oh wait, nevermind.
