Today marks another big day for Android fans everywhere. Google has posted a preview Software Development Kit (SDK) for the tablet-only (for now) Android 3.0 Honeycomb OS. This is a very good sign that the OS is almost ready for prime time. While this isn’t making the full platform available, it does bring some solid details about the OS and some new tools for developers to take advantage of. The main ones being:
- High-Performance 2D and 3D graphics.
- Framework for creating apps for larger screens.
- Multicore processor support.
- Rich multimedia.
- New types of Bluetooth connectivity.
- Enterprise enhancement.
Very exciting stuff indeed. Don’t forget to check out the guys over at the Android Developers blog for more details.
