Dish Network Android App Updated for Android Tablets

If you're a Dish Network subscriber, and an Android tablet user, then good news has just come your way.

Dish Network has just updated their free Dish Remote Access app to include support for higher resolution devices like Android tablets. You'll have to be on a broadband connection and use a Sling-enabled device like the Sling Adapter along with your tablet, and either a VIP 722 or  722k DVR to fully use the service. If you don't have a Sling-enabled device, you can still access most of the app's functions save for the ability to play videos.

Along with the ability to watch live and recorded TV shows, users have access to full DVR controls from their device and can schedule or delete shows.

Dish Network's full press release is available here.

You can hit up the Android market for a free download of Dish Remote Access or scan the QR code.
