Sink Your Teeth Into Some Gingerbread, Android 2.3 Source Code Now Available

Big News, Android 2.3 Gingerbread's source code just hit the Android Open Source Project's repository!  This is great news for all you hackers that want to seriously dig into some source code. Hardware companies that don't get Google's certification to include Android Market access can also benefit now.

Android operating system has come a long way since being purchased by Google in 2005, and I'm sure there is much more updating to come. Better and better things are happening for us in the Android community at an alarming pace.

One word to the wise: Enthusiastic coders may want to wait a few hours or days before downloading the code.  I know it's hard to wait, but this will balance the server load.
