More AMOLED Displays to Come in 2011

Everyone knows the beautiful Super AMOLED screens that Samsung included in their Galaxy S line of phones, right? We also know that there was a shortage of them, which led to HTC switching the displays on the Nexus One, Droid Incredible, and EVO 4G to the SLCD screen.

Well, recent news has it that the AMOLED display is going to get more common in 2011. Samsung Mobile Display is planning on opening another production facility, while competitors in other Asian countries are also planning on ramping up their production of the beautiful displays.

China has also said that they are planning on working on the OLED display. All in all, it looks like 2011 maybe a good year for the organic display coming to smartphones.
