According to what has been collected, 83% of all android devices are running on Android OS 2.x, 43% of that specifically is Android OS 2.2 (Froyo) which is up 10% since October.
Also, the legacy versions (1.5 and 1.6) are still steadily declining which is what is hoped by the developers of Android. They'd like the legacy versions to disappear soon except for hardcore users and other developers.
So what will we expect to see when Android OS 2.3(Gingerbread) rises to the stage?
