Skype Calls over 3G in the U.S.!

Earlier this week Skype for Android was released to the public, and I have some good news for you Skype fanatics. The official Skype app runs on Android 2.1 or above and works only over Wi-Fi. As I said though I have good news (as if Skype being released in general wasn't good enough) the guys over at Droidforums have come up with a simple hack to allow Skype to run over a 3G network.

All you have to do is follow these instructions:

  • Download the apk. here
  • Once it has been downloaded add the apk. To the root of your SD card
  • Then install the apk. by using a apk installer such as; apk installer, fast app install, eoeAppinstaller, Apk Manager and so on.
