According to Gadgety, Modu has announced it will unveil its Android-powered modular smartphone at a press conference on October 10, 2010. The report claims that invites have been issued for a press event to be held in Israel.
Information regarding the device are a bit scarce. Modu is expected to stick their design of interchangeable “jackets” that add functionality and can aid the user in utilizing the device in various ways. For example, the device might have a jacket which includes a physical keyboard, stereo speakers or perhaps others to assist with gaming on phone. The core phone features should expect to include WiFi, GPS and either be available for GSM or CDMA 3G networks.
