Exclusive: New Android Smartphone 'LG Shine Plus' is Now Available

Canadian users from TELUS can now purchase a new Android-based handset called The LG Shine Plus.


Starting today, Telus is providing the new device with a price tag of $69.99 accompanied with the signing of a three-year contract agreement. However, for those users that would like to have the new device without committing to such a lengthy contract, they can have it on for a two-year $199.99 or one-year plan for $249.99, case in which they would have to pay out of their for it. Finally those that just have it like that and must have this phone in order to "shine;" The new LG Shine Plus is also available for acquisition without any contract agreement is available for a price of $299.99.

According to TELUS, the new device comes with features like:
- Access and sync Google apps like Gmail, Google Talk, Google Maps, YouTube and more with a single log-in
- Easily customize 7 screens with widgets, apps, notes, games and more
- Message with the touchscreen or the comfortable QWERTY keyboard
- Find local apps and get weekly recommendations with LG App Advisor

The new LG Shine Plus comes to the market with Google's Android 2.1 operating system on board, while also including a sliding form factor.

The handset's 3.2-inch touchscreen display has a 480 x 800 pixels resolution and complements the slide-out QWERTY keyboard that LG packed it with.

The specifications list of the handset also includes a 5-megapixel photo snapper with auto focus, LED flash and video recording capabilities.

It also comes with Wi-Fi connectivity on board, as well as with built-in GPS receiver, and with support for up to 16GB of additional storage space via microSD memory card slot.

Other features of the new mobile phone include:
- Easy integration of Google applications and services, just by entering your Google account username and password
- Seamless multi-tasking, with the ability to use different applications at the same time
- Get a desktop like browsing experience with Adobe Flash Player support to see embedded videos
- Multiple home screens that you can fully personalize with your choice of dynamic widgets and applications
