Wireless Tether for Your Rooted HTC Aria

Members over at XDA Developers have done it again.  If you own a rooted HTC Aria and would like to wirelessly tether your phone, you're in luck.  Below are instructions for installing the unofficial version of the Wireless Tether app.

Credit goes to XDA members attn1, acedj123 for extracting the .bin, hashbrown, breakeven and the original developers. Credit goes to ElCondor for putting together the instructions.

Step-by-Step:

  1. Install wireless_tether_2_0_5-pre3.apk using adb install, HTC Sync or from SD card
  2. Create a directory named "android.tether"
  3. Download fw_bcm4329.rar
  4. Unzip the downloaded file, and copy the content (fw_bcm4329.bin) to  /sdcard/android.tether
  5. Launch Wireless Tether from SD card
